Mickey McEntee, Esq.

           Michael "Mickey" McEntee Jr is an experienced trial attorney with a proven track record of success in the courtroom.   

            Prior to joining private practice, Mickey McEntee served as an Assistant Public Defender for the State of Rhode Island. In this role, he represented individuals charged in criminal matters across all four counties—Providence, Kent, Newport, and Washington—in both District and Superior Court.

             In private practice, Attorney McEntee brings his extensive experience, and commanding presence to the courtroom. He approaches each case with meticulous preparation, and unwavering advocacy, ensuring that his clients receive the strongest possible defense at every stage of the legal process

        Mickey McEntee has secured not guilty verdicts in both jury and bench trials across a wide range of serious criminal cases, including DUI, domestic assault, possession of an illegal firearm, felony assault with a firearm, and felony assault with a deadly weapon. 

         He has obtained numerous dismissals in cases ranging from possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance to first-degree sexual assault, as well as amendments to lesser offenses. 

         He has successfully defended clients in probation violation hearings, including contested hearings involving witness testimony, resulting in a finding of no violation. 

         Attorney McEntee has represented numerous clients charged with capital offenses at bail hearings, successfully arguing for bail  over the state’s objection, resulting in pretrial release. His reputation for thorough case preparation, persuasive advocacy, and courtroom skill has earned him the trust of clients and peers.
